We are pleased to confirm the signing of Sophie Peskett from Ipswich Town, subject to the necessary regulatory processes.
The 23-year-old spent seven years with the Tractor Girls, becoming the first player in the club’s history to sign a professional contract when she penned a two-year deal in 2021.
Women’s first team head coach Dario Vidosic said, “Sophie is a good attacking outlet - she got a decent return of goals and assists last season in WSL2.
“We believe she can make the step up to the WSL and we’re excited to give her the platform to test herself at the highest level.”
The right winger grabbed five goals and five assists in 21 league appearances during the 2025/26 season, as Ipswich finished the campaign in ninth spot in the second tier.
They retained their WSL2 status thanks to three consecutive wins to finish the season, with Peskett scoring twice in a vital 4-1 victory over Sheffield United in that run.
She has represented England up to under-19 level and also has a degree in Sports and Exercise Science.
