Jelena Cankovic is in contention to play her first minutes of the season on Sunday.

Albion welcome Aston Villa on Sunday for their first WSL match of the season at the Amex Stadium, kick-off 2pm.

Following a dramatic afternoon at St Andrew's last weekend - where Ruiz's side battled back from two goals down to secure a point against Birmingham City - the Spaniard will be focused on sealing his first three points in front of a home crowd.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Ruiz confirmed that Jelena Cankovic is set to feature following a brief spell on the sidelines.

"We have one more player for this Sunday," Ruiz said. "Jele is going to be able to be in the squad, so all of us are really happy because of that news."
