Michelle Agyemang has won the Sports Journalists’ Association (SJA) British Sports Award 2025 for Breakthrough Athlete.
The striker had a memorable summer after becoming European champions with England and winning the Young Player of the Tournament.
Following on from a remarkable campaign with England, she was nominated for the Women’s Kopa Trophy - the award for the best performing player under the age of 21.
Michelle made eight appearances for the Albion this season before suffering an ACL injury against Australia during the international break.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, she said, "I just want to thank everyone at the Sports Journalist Association for awarding me Athlete of the Year 2025.
"It's a great privilege to receive this award and I didn't expect it, but I am very grateful nonetheless.
"I'm grateful to God for the opportunity that he has given me and I am also very thankful to my family and for everyone that has supported me in this journey."
