Guro Bergsvand said she was proud of the squad's performance and said they showed 'courage' in their 4-2 defeat to Chelsea at Kingsmeadow on Sunday.
Jelena Cancovic and Kiko Seike gave Chelsea a scare with a goal each, but the champions maintained their 100% record in the WSL.
Bergsvand said, "We really showed courage and I think the only difference is they took their chances and we didn't.
"We did really well in the overall performance. We were fighting for 95 minutes and I'm really proud of the girls.
"We knew that we could shock them if we gave it our best. When you feel that it's working you get more energy and I think we felt that throughout the whole game.
"Obviously we're disappointed with the result and it feels a little unfair, but they took their chances."
Albion’s encouraging performances during the first half of the season has cemented their place in the top half of the table but Bergsvand forecasts further improvement.

"We're really proud with how well we've done so far," she added. "We've come away with some really good results and we have a squad who are working for each other - but there is more to come.
"We want to play our football, but we need to fix those silly mistakes against good teams otherwise they are going to punish us. But we want to play and we want to have the ball and I'm proud that we want to do that."
Albion face Bristol City at Broadfield Stadium on Wednesday knowing victory will secure their place in the knockout stages of the League Cup before ending the first half of the WSL campaign at home to Spurs on Saturday.
Bergsvand said, "They're going to be tough, but after Sunday's performance I think we have good energy going into those games - and we're excited for the rest of the season."
