Marisa Olislagers is looking forward to being back in action as our women's team take on Aston Villa after the winter break.
Albion will be facing the Villans in the WSL this Sunday at Villa Park, kick-off 12pm.
“It was nice to have a little break, everybody is back fresh, mentally and physically, which is good. We have already had a week of training; I am really looking forward to the first game back.
“The players know what we need to improve on going into the second part of the season. The team wants to continue picking up points, playing our way from the first minute until the last every game. We are a good team and if we do our best, the rest of the season should go well.
“As the weeks go on, the more we are gelling as a team, getting to know each other. All the girls that came in last summer are very easy going and great players.

“They adjusted quickly to the team and that is why we have been playing well as a group. There were a few fixtures last year where we should have taken more from them, but I am feeling really positive for the rest of the season.
“Our goals are clear going into this year, it would be nice to go far in the Adobe FA Cup. If we look at where Albion is in the WSL table as well, the team wants to be in a higher position."
Albion have already faced Aston Villa earlier this season, the match finished 0-0 at Broadfield Stadium.
“The team are preparing as normal; it is just a normal week. By giving everything, playing at our best, we can get all three points. Aston Villa are a very good team; we saw that during the last game.
“I think we should have come away with more as the team created a lot of great chances that day.

“We know their qualities and strengths so as a team we will work on how to be better this time,” said Marisa.
The Dutch international is full of praise for the fans who follow the team home and away, bringing the noise.
“The fans are always very important throughout games. They really help us, give the team energy when we need it. We will need them this weekend as usual. I always hear them which is great.”
