Dario Vidosic understands the ‘fascination’ with Michelle Agyemang following her Euros heroics in the summer, but the Albion head coach is keen to give her the time she needs to develop this season.
The 19-year-old scored five goals on loan last season, before scoring twice as England retained their title at the Euros.
Michelle was named young player of the tournament, before returning for a second season with Albion on loan from Arsenal last month.
“She's a kid that just loves to play football, so I'll try to protect her as much as possible because she's young,” Vidosic said. “I understand the fascination and that everyone wants to see her because she's an excitement machine when she plays.

“She's got that moment of magic in her and that nose for goal, which she displayed last season and also at the Euros on one of the biggest stages.
“We're excited for her, but we know that she's still young and will probably face some ups and downs. This season will mean a different team talk now for opposition teams. There will be a lot of attention on her.
“That’s something she'll need to learn to deal with. But I've got no doubt that she'll be a very important player for us.”
While Agyemang technically falls into the bracket of ‘new signing’ Dario knows that she is already benefitting from being in familiar surroundings.
“She has those friendships already, those bonds and the connection on the field and off the field with the rest of the squad," added the head coach. " She doesn't really feel like a new signing as she was with us last season.
“She knows our ambitions are high for this season. We are going help her as much as we can to progress and maximise her talent.”
