Women's assistant head coach has left the club.

Women's assistant head coach Chris Roberts has left the club to pursue a new opportunity.

Chris moved from Everton in summer 2024 to join Dario Vidosic’s backroom staff. In his first season he helped lead the women's first team to a historic fifth place in the WSL and last season the club made its first appearance in the Women's FA Cup final at Wembley.

Chris said, "I have loved working with everyone associated with Brighton and Hove Albion. Everyone from the players to the staff, has been exceptional. It has also been a pleasure to work with Dario. He is without doubt one of the most talented managers in the game and working with him has been a privilege.

"It's been a difficult decision to leave the club, but, on a personal level, this opportunity allows me to be back with my family and the last year has taught me that family must remain a priority.

"I have loved representing this badge and shared many special memories with everyone. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the fans for their support throughout my time at the club, especially during my interim period. You gave constant support throughout the highs and the lows. I'm excited to see what's next for the club."

Women's head coach Dario Vidosic added, "Chris has been a key pillar of the technical staff for the last two years. From a professional standpoint, he drove elite standards every day at the club. From a personal perspective, he has been so supportive since I joined the club from Melbourne City. He played a huge role in helping me settle into the job and was a constant source of support and guidance. He will be sorely missed at the club."

Women's and girls' managing director Zoe Johnson said, "We'd like to take this opportunity to thank Chris for his key contributions over the last two seasons including our highest league finish in 2025 and appearing in the FA Cup final in May. We understand the personal sacrifice he had to make and respect his decision to return north. We wish him nothing but the best for the future.”
