Bart Verbruggen and Luka Vuskovic helped Albion keep three league clean sheets during October.

Albion goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen and defender Luka Vuskovic have been nominated for October’s Premier League Player of the Month.

Albion are riding as high as third in the table and much is owed to the outstanding form of our Dutch goalkeeper.

Bart kept three clean sheets in four matches in October – a 2-0 win at Sunderland, a 5-0 home victory over Crystal Palace, then a 1-0 triumph at Manchester City, with Luka also starting in all those matches.

His performance at the Etihad was particularly impressive as he saved seven shots to be awarded player of the match.

Luka has played a crucial role in a defence which has conceded the second fewest number of goals in the Premier League so far this season.

Against City, Vuskovic helped keep the league’s top scorer Erling Haaland at bay, making eight defensive contributions in total, including three interceptions and three clearances.
