Dani Bowman’s WU19s are through to the semi-final of the PGA Cup after winning 1-0 at Southampton.
Albion’s goal came after five minutes when Rhianna Fowler's shot from the edge of the box was deflected into the net by a Southampton defender.
Head coach Bowman said, “The performance was not our best, but the girls showed a great attitude to get the result. We started well, created some nice opportunities and the early goal came after a good spell of possession.
“Southampton made it hard for us after the goal to find our flow, but everyone played their part in tough conditions to get us through to the semi-finals.
“This is a development phase for the squad, but I want them to have the hunger to win. The PGA League Cup is a great opportunity to develop that.
“The squad have a great attitude and belief and their resilience against Southampton showed that."
