A positive from Friday's goalless draw against Brentford was the return of Solly March, who came on as an 87th-minute substitute after more than 13 months out.
And he went close to scoring in the final minute of stoppage time when his 20-yard shot flew just over.
March injured his knee against Manchester City in October 2023 and returned after an absence of 433 days.
Hurzeler said, "I think it’s a great thing not only for him but also the club. He suffered a long time but he worked hard in his rehab.
"Not only is he a great player but he’s a great person off the pitch. I am really happy that he’s back and I am sure he will help us in the future."
Hurzeler confirmed that Evan Ferguson missed out with an ankle issue and that Mats Wieffer, who was also absent through injury, is unlikely to be available for Monday's game against Aston Villa.
