Head coach Shannon Ruth is hoping the men’s under-21s can start to turn good performances into results when they take on Fulham at Motspur Park on Friday.
Albion currently sit 18th in PL2 with one win to date from their five league games.
“We feel we have played really well recently and the group is improving and growing but we haven’t quite found the right balance in terms of keeping the clean sheets which ensure we get what we feel we deserve in games,” he said.
“Some of the goals we’ve scored and the courage we’ve shown with how we’ve been playing means we are a little disappointed with the outcome in terms of results.
“Nonetheless, this is a good lesson for us as a group and it’s been a good reflection for us.”
The home side currently lie seventh in the table with three wins out of five.
“We’re expecting a tough game,” added Ruth. “Fulham are an opponent that you have to make sure you’re ready to compete against and you’re ready to match whatever they throw at you.
“In my experience this is never a straightforward fixture.”
