Fabian Hurzeler felt Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to Liverpool was a ‘missed opportunity’ for his team.
Two goals in the opening 21 minutes put Liverpool in control but Albion had enough possession and created openings to have made it a different outcome before their nine-match unbeaten run came to an end.

“It was a missed opportunity,” said Hurzeler. “I think everyone felt that we could definitely take something away from this game. I think in the end we made two easy mistakes so they could score two goals.
“Besides that, we had enough chances to score ourselves.
“We kept going, we kept trying. They defended well in the box. They have, of course, individual qualities, but besides that when we focus on us then I think we did everything, but we didn’t have luck on our side today.
“I think we lost a little of our structure after being 1-0 down. We wanted to come back as quickly as possible, and then we lost a little of our structure that we have to analyse and do better. But in the second half, and also a lot of phases in the first half, I saw only one team playing and trying to win.
“Of course, we have to take the positives but we also have to understand that we have to keep our level in everything we are doing.
“We have to avoid these easy mistakes if you want to win games here, and that's what we have to learn from today.
“But we'll take a lot of positives. We came here to win. Everyone saw that, and I think you could also feel it in the stadium that this was definitely the case. We will keep going and try to make it better next time."
