The family of dedicated Albion supporter Bradley Corke are taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance charity.
PC Corke lost his life in the line of duty in March and at Tuesday’s Player Awards Bradley’s father Steve and brother Nathan were presented with the Sarah Watts Inspiration Award.
Bradley was known for his incredible energy, strength and selflessness. To his family and friends, he was a true hero and a role model who always put others first. His sudden passing has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of all who knew him.
Before this tragic loss, Bradley and his best friend Jamie had planned to take on a journey together. Now, Jamie, alongside Bradley’s younger brother, Nathan, have decided to fulfill that promise and will be taking on the Three Peaks Challenge, aiming to summit Ben Nevis, Snowdon, and Helvellyn within 24 hours.
The inclusion of Helvellyn is a deeply personal one. It is the mountain Bradley and Jamie climbed together in June 2024, sharing laughter and memories that now mean even more. While returning there without him will be incredibly emotional, scaling it again is a powerful tribute to the unbreakable bond they all shared.
At the summit of each peak Jamie and Nathan will light a lantern, a touching symbol of Bradley’s light which continues to guide them and a promise that he will never be forgotten.
Following Bradley’s accident, the air ambulance team arrived quickly on the scene giving him the chance to fight and granted his family and friends a final opportunity to say their goodbyes, a gift they will be forever thankful for.Â
Supporting this charity is their way of honouring the people who gave them those precious last moments.
