Freddie Simmonds has been named in the England squad that will take part in the Under-17 World Cup in Qatar this November.
The 17-year-old has represented Neil Ryan's squad on 14 occasions, while he also made his England Under-18 debut in September.
Harry Howell will unfortunately miss the tournament through injury having been a regular for England Under-17s, and more recently the Under-18s.
England have been drawn in Group E of the World Cup, and will face Venezuela (4 November), Haiti (7 November) and Egypt (10 November).
Speaking to England Football ahead of the squad announcement, Ryan said, “When you see the MU21s in the summer, winning the EUROs for the second time in a row and you look at the women winning the EUROs again, on the walls in the building you can see the pictures of those teams who have won titles. “That's what we’re all striving for and now it's our turn to try and get a trophy.
