Albion secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Sussex Transport Senior Cup on Tuesday with a 5-4 win on penalties after a goalless 90 minutes against Burgess Hill Town.
Shannon Ruth's team converted all of their spot-kicks, while Hugo Fisher denied Alex Malins to send Albion through.
Played at the Sussex FAâs home at Culver Road in Lancing, the 242 fans had to contend with near sub-zero temperatures, but it was Hill who turned up the heat in the first half with a handful of chances.
Harry Lawson should have done better with Bobby Priceâs pull-back but fired straight at Fisher and Ben Popeâs drive from the edge of the area flew straight into the Albion keeperâs gloves.
Martyn Boxâs back-post header took a deflection off Jacob Slater and Fisher was able to collect, before Albion should have taken the lead with half-time approaching. Harry Howellâs low drive from the right of the box was kept out by Slovakian stopper Slav Huk, Marcus Ifillâs header on the follow up was blocked before Huk was the Hill hero again with a good stop from Sahil Bashirâs side-footer from ten yards.

Hill were lively at the start of the second half with Reggie Ward drawing a terrific save out of Fisher as he dived to his right to keep out the wingerâs half volley while Lawson's powerful strike from 15 yards was unable to find its way through a crowd.
Albion wasted a glorious opportunity when Remiero Moulton pinched possession on halfway and found the run of Ifill, but the former Swindon Town manâs ball for Bashir had too much on it and went behind for a goal kick.
Josh Robertson was denied when one-on-one. đˇ by Paul Hazlewood.
Huk was hellbent on keeping his cleansheet. Robertson was in on goal and attempted to lob the stopper but Huk got an excellent hand to it to keep the ball out of the net.
Hill's resistance appeared to be letting up when Caylan Vickers's dangerous cross was only just tipped behind by Huk, before Vickers's shot from the edge of the box was blocked. Charlie Penman blazed over from 12 yards late on but neither team could find the breakthrough, leading to penalties.
