Bode Newnham-Reeve scored the winner with the last kick of the game in our men’s under-18s' win over Fulham on Saturday.
Having scored earlier on in the contest, the winger struck in the fourth minute of stoppage time to ensure Bjorn Hamberg’s team won 3-2 in their first league game back after the winter break.
It wasn’t plain sailing though as Brodie Nair put the Cottagers in front after six minutes at Motspur Park, but Newnham-Reeve got Albion back on level terms two minutes into the second half after cutting in from the left and arrowing a low shot into the bottom corner from 18 yards.
Fulham restored their lead after 56 minutes thanks to Aidan Evans, but Raffaele Oppong was first to a loose ball in the box to poke home after the hosts failed to clear their lines from a cross with ten minutes to play.

The winner came after Albion countered down the right, with Newnham-Reece racing into the box before seeing his initial shot saved by keeper Oliver Mayer, but the ball ricocheted back off the Albion man and bounced over the line.
Hamberg said, “It’s great to be back in action after almost five weeks without a game. It took us a bit of time to get into our rhythm – after so long without a game you can understand why it wasn’t clicking from the first minute.
“In the second half we definitely improved, showing more intensity and personality.
“We reacted well to going behind again. We made four changes and all the substitutes who came on had a big impact to keep the intensity high and we eventually started to break Fulham down.
“It was a great feeling to score with the last kick of the game. It was also nice to see such a team effort with everyone involved pushing to the end to get the win.”
