Eiran Cashin joins Blackburn Rovers on loan
Defender to spend second half of season with Rovers.

Eiran Cashin will join Blackburn Rovers on loan for the rest of the season, having concluded his spell with Birmingham City.
The former Republic of Ireland under-21 international is expected to go straight into Blackburn’s squad for Sunday’s FA Cup tie at Hull City.
Sporting director Jason Ayto said, “Eiran has not had the opportunities we would have liked at Birmingham, and we feel this switch will give him the chance to play more regularly.
“We will continue to monitor Eiran’s progress at Blackburn and wish him well for the rest of the season.”
Eiran made 13 appearances in all competitions for Birmingham during the first half of the season.
The 24-year-old defender began his career at Derby County, where he made 126 league appearances for the Rams, scoring six goals.
He signed for us in January 2025 on a five-and-a-half-year deal and has featured twice in the Premier League.
