Andrew Moran has joined Preston North End on a permanent transfer, for undisclosed terms.
The 22-year-old made three first-team appearances for the club after graduating from our academy.
Sporting director Jason Ayto said, “Andrew is another success story for the academy, progressing through the ranks before having good loans in the Championship and MLS.
“The next step for him is to establish himself somewhere and, with that in mind, a permanent transfer suits all parties.
“We wish him the best of luck for the future.”
The midfielder joined us from Irish club Bray Wanderers – where he became the youngest first-team debutant in the club’s history – in 2020.
He had a debut season to remember with Albion, scoring a stunning individual goal in the final of the Premier League Under-17 Cup when we beat Middlesbrough 2-0 at the Riverside Stadium.
His first-team debut came in August 2021 when he came on for the final 20 minutes of our 2-0 win over Cardiff City in the EFL Cup. His Premier League debut arrived during the 2022/23 season as a substitute in our 4-1 win at Everton.
Andrew spent time in the Championship with Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City, before playing for MLS side LAFC in the first half of this season.
Having represented the Republic of Ireland at youth level, Andrew made his senior debut in November 2023 in a 1-1 draw with New Zealand.
