Joao Pedro has had a scan on an ankle injury he picked up in training on Wednesday.
Head coach Fabian Hurzeler confirmed the Brazilian will miss Saturday’s FA Cup game at Norwich City.
He said, “I would love to have him on the pitch in the FA Cup, but he twisted his ankle yesterday in training and we have to wait for the MRI [results].
"If we have any clear results about that, then we can let you know. But before I think we have to wait for the results."

While the German confirmed that Lewis Dunk and Mats Wieffer will miss the game, he didn't want to use injuries as any sort of excuse.
"Injuries are part of the business and you will never hear me complaining about injuries because my job is to find solutions. Although we have a lot of injuries, I trust the players who we have.
"We have a strong squad, we have a lot of options and have a really big, big belief and trust in the players who will replace the players who are injured at the moment. That's why I will never complain about that. It's part of the job.
"It's also part of the journey and therefore it's only about finding solutions and not complaining about the problems we have."
