Fabian Hurzeler, Pascal Gross, Babis Kostoulas and Lewis Dunk have been shortlisted for an array of the Premier League’s monthly awards for September.

And last, but by no means least, Lewis Dunk’s goal of the season contender has been shortlisted for the goal of the month award.

Midfielder Gross’s unmatched two goals and three assists placed him at the centre of Albion’s rise to third in the table.

Gross had one of the best months of his career as Brighton conceded only once in the league, hammering Coventry City 5-0 and stunning champions Arsenal with a 3-0 win. Gross was influential in the victory against Mikel Arteta's side with a goal and assist.

Meanwhile Kostoulas capped a superb month with a goal and assist against Arsenal. The 19-year-old also scored in the win against Coventry and has been a pressing machine during September. No forward has made more defensive contributions, ball recoveries or won possession in the final third than the forward.

Both shone in the 3-2 win over Manchester United in the Carabao Cup, although their performances at Old Trafford are not under consideration for this award.

The head coach has been nominated off the back of his team’s terrific record in September when they took seven points from three games, scoring nine goals and conceding only one. Albion claimed big wins over Coventry City and Arsenal, while they drew with Leeds United.

In the win over the Sky Blues, Lewis Dunk scored the best goal of his 16-year Albion career. Thirty yards from goal, the skipper struck an unstoppable, dipping drive into the top left corner. It will undoubtedly be one of the Premier League’s Goal of the Season nominations as well.
