Matias Orozco continued his fine start to life with Castellon when he scored his first goal for the club in their 5-0 drubbing of Tenerife.

Sitting top of La Liga 2 heading into the international break, Castellon are yet to suffer a league defeat, with Orozco clearly enjoying his starting role in the team. Rodrigo Rego was an unused sub for the Spanish side.

He wasn't the only to be involved in the goals. Amario Cozier-Duberry made it three goal involvements in as many games as he grabbed an assist in Middlesbrough’s 2-2 draw with Birmingham City. That was a cause of frustration for James Beadle who started in goal for Blues, who have drawn five of their opening eight games.

Amario scored in his first two appearances for the club, with Middlesbrough third after eight games.

In League One, Tommy Watson came on for the last half an hour of Leicester City’s 1-1 draw with Barnsley, while Harry Howell was introduced with ten minutes to play.

Brajan Gruda was taken off after 25 minutes of Leipzig’s 2-0 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga due to injury.

It was a great weekend for Rochdale as they beat local rivals Oldham Athletic 2-0 in League Two, lifting them off the bottom and in to mid-table. Nils Ramming kept his third clean sheet of the season, with Charlie Tasker starting in front of him in defence.

Josh Robertson was substituted on for the final 15 minutes of Fleetwood Town’s 3-1 defeat to Barnet, while Fuka Tsunoda was sent off after seven minutes in Crystal Palace Women’s 7-0 defeat to Tottenham.

Olivia Johnson started in Lewes Women’s 3-0 win over Cheltenham Town, while Michael Dike’s Horsham debut couldn’t have gone any better, as he kept a clean sheet in a 3-0 win over Walton & Hersham to reach the third qualifying round of the FA Cup.

The weekend also ended in disappointment for Jess Pegram, who was a late substitute in Hammarby’s 2-1 defeat to AIK. They will look to bounce back in their Europa Cup qualifying match on Wednesday night against Rangers.

Facundo Buonanotte (Elche), Freddie Simmonds (Wimbledon) and Grace McEwen (Nottingham Forest Women) were unused subs, while Kamari Doyle (Leicester City), Eiran Cashin (Derby County), Yoon Doyoung (Magdeburg), Silvana Marshall Miranda (Wimbledon Women) Mark O’Mahony (Burton Albion) and Lily Dent (Sunderland Women) were not in their matchday squads.
