Coventry City need a point to confirm their place back in the Premier League after a 25-year absence.
Carl Rushworth kept back-to-back clean sheets in goalless draws with Hull on Monday and Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, with results elsewhere now all but confirming the Sky Blues will be playing top tier football again next season.
James Beadle also kept a Championship clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Wrexham, bringing an end to a run of four without a win. Ibrahim Osman started for the Blues too, getting 78 minutes under his belt.
Eiran Cashin helped Rovers to a 1-1 draw with Stoke City – a point that puts them four clear of the relegation zone – while Tommy Watson came on for the final 25 minutes of Millwall’s goalless draw with West Brom.
Jeremy Sarmiento started in both of Middlesbrough’s games last week, as they drew 2-2 with Swansea, before losing 1-0 at home to Portsmouth.
In the third tier, Amario Cozier-Duberry continued his return from a knee injury as he played for 35 minutes in Bolton’s 2-0 loss to Cardiff City. In League Two, Jacob Slater got the assist for Harrogate Town’s goal in their 2-1 defeat to Newport County.
Michael Dike played in between the sticks for Burgess Hill Town in their 3-1 defeat to Cheshunt, ending their hopes of a play-off spot in the Isthmian League Premier Division.
Heading overseas, Brajan Gruda came on for the final 18 minutes of RB Leipzig’s 1-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach, while Yoon Doyoung played 76 minutes of Dordrecht’s 1-0 win over ADO Den Haag.
Finally, Diego Coppola enjoyed a thoroughly impressive 4-1 win over AS Monaco – who Simon Adingra is currently playing for. The Italian has started in every game of his side’s current seven-game unbeaten run in Ligue 1.
