Yankuba Minteh would love to play European football with Albion next season should the various permutations of results in the coming weeks permit it.
The Gambia winger got a taste of Champions League football while on loan to Feyenoord from Newcastle United in the 2023-24 season.
He made two starts for the then Dutch title-holders in the Champions League group stage, against Celtic and Atletico Madrid.
He also came off the bench against both the same opponents, scoring in a 2-1 defeat at Celtic Park.

Albion ran out comfortable victors at home to Wolves on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Jack Hinshelwood, Lewis Dunk and Yankuba Minteh scored the goals to secure three points for Fabian Hurzeler.
“It would be amazing because I played once before and I would like to play again in it because it's a competition which is really important,” he said. “Everybody watches it, so it would be nice.
“I remember a lot because it was my first time ever playing in it, so I was so emotional and really grateful to be playing in the Champions League.”
Albion may have to rely on rivals tripping up and other results going their way if they are to reach next season’s elite competition.
But the players know that winning our two remaining games – away to Leeds United and at home to Manchester United – will probably be essential whatever other teams do.

#brightonandhovealbion #wolvesfc Fabian Hurzeler, Lewis Dunk and Jack Hinshelwood give their reaction to the victory over Wolves as Brighton keep their European dream alive.
“Everybody has to do their job really well so that we can get the spot,” Yankuba said. “Everybody's calm because we know we have two more games left, which is important. So we're excited for the win [against Wolves], but we all have to focus on the next two.
“These games are really important. We try to play for ourselves, our family and the fans because every time they travel and make the long journeys. These games are really important for them.
“I hope we do good for them because we always want to make them happy. Every time we want to see them smile. We're going to try our best to win the games.”
He played alongside present teammate Mats Wieffer in Feyenoord’s Champions League campaign and he has no doubt that the Albion squad will be good enough to compete at the top level if the chance comes.
“Everyone has quality in this team because you can see, if we play good, we can hurt everybody,” he said. “So everyone has the quality to play in the Champions League.”

He was one of the players who led head coach Fabian Hurzeler over to the North Stand after the final whistle against Wolves to enjoy the cheers of the fans.
“We know he has been in difficult moments and now everything is going well because he deserves it.
“And we all know how hard it is for a coach when it's not going well for you. So at the moment, it's going well. We need to give him his credit.”
