Jack Hinshelwood’s winning goal in his first match back after ten weeks out was the perfect ‘welcome back present’, according to Fabian Hurzeler.
The midfielder hasn’t played since our 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth on 13 September, but made a goalscoring return when he fired in from the edge of the box to secure all three points against the Bees.
“Overall, it's a group full of great characters and I really enjoy working with them. I am so happy that Jack is back, I am happy that he gave us this welcome back present!
“It's better that we have more availability, more options now for us. That's what drives the competition and that's what is important for us.”
The 20-year-old made it 2-1 after Danny Welbeck had volleyed in a superb equaliser, with referee Chris Kavanagh playing an excellent advantage in the build-up.

“We have spoken a lot about Danny during the season. I always say he's like a good red wine – the older he gets, the better he gets and we are very pleased to have him in our squad as a leader, as a player, as a personality.
“It was a really good goal, and luckily the referee kept playing!”
The drama didn’t end there though as Bart Verbruggen saved his first penalty as an Albion player, denying Igor Thiago in second-half stoppage time.
“I am really happy that Bart was there, that he saved this penalty. He deserves it. He has played a good season so far and this gives him another boost to his confidence," added the head coach.
“We are pleased that he made this development and the save today.”
