Simon Adingra, Carlos Baleba and Yankuba Minteh have all been shortlisted for this year’s Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards 2024.
Simon has been nominated in the Men’s Player of the Year category, having had a fantastic calendar year, as he won the Best Young Player at the African Cup of Nations in January after helping Ivory Coast become champions for the first time since 2015.
At club level, Simon has made 19 Premier League appearances in 2024 as well as helping Albion reach the last 16 of the Europa League.
Carlos and Yankuba have been shortlisted in the Men’s Young Player of the Year category.
Baleba, 20, made his senior debut for Cameroon in June and has gone onto win four caps for his country. He has started six of our Premier League games so far this campaign.
Minteh, 20, has been in good form for The Gambia in 2024, scoring three goals in nine appearances. The winger enjoyed a terrific 2023/24 season on loan with Feyenoord before making the move to Albion in the summer from Newcastle United.
