Ferdi Kadioglu believes the squad's collective commitment to their high-intensity style is the driving force behind their good form.
As Albion prepare for today's game against Liverpool at Anfield, Ferdi has highlighted how a unified approach and physical conditioning have lifted the team's performances.
“I think we know very well what our strength is this season, and if we do that every game we know there's a chance of winning the game,” he said. “If we don't do that, we know it can be difficult. Until now that's going very well, and everyone is on it.”
A hallmark of Albion’s play has been their relentless energy without the ball and Kadioglu believes that has reached a new level this term.
“If you want to play how we play, you have to be very fit,” he said. “We were already fit last season, but I think it's more that now everyone really understands what we need to do to win matches. That's really clear this season, and everyone is doing it. Everyone is really focused on their task and doing it very well so far.”

That focus is most evident in the team’s defensive transitions. Kadioglu was quick to praise the attackers for their role in protecting the defence and securing clean sheets.
“It starts in front,” he said. “If they press very well and intensely it makes it a lot easier for us in the back. When we lose the ball, you immediately see three or four players pressing, trying to win the ball back or to get behind the ball.
"I think we are doing it really well. Also, if they come out and create a dangerous attack, we still have a great goalkeeper. It starts at the front and I think in the back we are doing it great at the moment.”
Today's game is exactly the kind of challenge Ferdi relishes.
“That's why we play football. Against Liverpool, it's a top game. All the players are very motivated for that game. I know it's a great stadium with great fans. I'm really looking forward to that match,” he said.
Despite going into the game third in the Premier League the Turkish international echoed the sentiments of his teammates regarding the long road ahead.
“It's still very early. We have to stay humble and keep our feet on the ground. We have to go week by week, and then when it's coming to the end of the season maybe we can say a bit more.”
