Arriving in Tromsø

Upon arrival in Tromsø, you will find Taxi ranks outside the Airport which can take you to your required destination. Bolt and Uber are also available.

On matchday, supporters are advised to head to Hjemmebane Tromsø, which is a sports bar located near the city centre.

There are bars/restaurants and shops in the area, BHAFC Supporter Liaison Officers and Stewards will be in the area to help fans, along with Sussex Police who will be working with the Norwegian Police.

Please note, street drinking is not allowed in Tromsø or anywhere else in Norway. Public consumption of alcohol on streets, in parks, and at beaches is illegal by law.

Norway uses standard European Type C and Type F plug sockets. If you are traveling from the UK, you will need a physical plug adapter, British Type G plugs do not fit.

Passport validity and border systems

Passports must have been issued less than 10 years before the day of entry to Norway, remain valid for at least 3 months after your planned departure date. British and other visa exempt visitors do not need a visa for tourist stays up to 90 days.

Digital border tracking registers for non-EU nationals electronically via fingerprints and facial scans instead of ink passport stamps.

You may be required to show proof of accommodation such as hotel bookings.

Ticket collection & ID

It is not required for supporters to collect tickets in person. Tickets will be sent 72 hours prior to the fixture by email as PDF’s. Supporters will be required to show photo ID when entering the stadium alongside tickets.

We advise all supporters to carry ID when in the city.

Getting to the stadium

Hjemmebane Tromsø (Local Bar) is a 20-25 minute walk to the stadium or 5 minute taxi.

You can take the 40 bus route from ‘Bankgata’ in the city centre, which will take you to the bus stop ‘Alfheim’, located just next to the stadium. This bus ride takes approximately 17 minutes.

Taxis, Uber and Bolt are available. Ask the driver to stop at ‘Alfheim Aktivitetshus’ This is right next to the bus stop and where away supporters should enter the stadium.

Making your way to the stadium from the city centre

General Admission Tickets

When you reach the stadium, please ensure you have your ticket ready. You will enter through one of two turnstiles where you must scan the QR-code on your ticket that will be sent to you by email as a PDF. You will be given a wristband upon entry, which will give you access to food and drink kiosks, as well as toilets. Please note, there is no shelter when entering the stadium.

Searches will be performed, and any prohibited items will be confiscated. Any attempt to take prohibited items into the stadium may lead to denial of entry to the stadium entirely. Information about prohibited items can be found by scanning the QR code below.

Inside the stadium, you will find a concession booth where food and drink can be purchased, as well as toilet facilities. Catering and toilets can be seen on the stadium map below, and requires you to exit the block to access. You can re-enter by showing the wristband given to you upon entry. Catering kiosks are not covered by shelter.

If you experience any unwelcome behaviour, or have any questions, please do not hesitate to approach the Tromsø IL stewards who will be dressed in yellow hi-vis, as well as BHAFC club staff who will be wearing pink hi-vis.

The away section is located at section ‘D’, and can be found on the map below. Turnstiles will be open 90 minutes before kick off.

Category 1 tickets

Those with category 1 tickets, the entrance is located to the right of the usual away entrance at entrance C.

The toilets for category 1 ticket holders are located outside of the ground, and you will see these upon entering the ground next to the food kiosks.

These food kiosks and toilets will be shared with home supporters.

Information for Wheelchair users and disabled supporters

Travel to the stadium:

Supporters are advised to book taxis to the stadium and ask for wheelchair accessible taxis.

Disabled seating:

Wheelchair spaces are located close to the visitors section, located by the corner flag, elevated slightly by a platform. This is shown on the stadium map above.

We have an allocation of 8 wheelchair bays with PA seats alongside.

There is a ramp to access this platform and our Disability Liaison Officer will be on hand to assist with any issues.

Food and drink will be accessible, and is located directly behind the wheelchair bays.

Wheelchair accessible toilets will be available and are located by the food outlets. You will receive a wristband upon entry to the stadium which will allow access to catering kiosks and toilets.

There is no shelter in the wheelchair area, so please dress appropriately with rain expected on matchday.

There are nine steps up and down to the front rows which will be shown as ambulant disabled when purchasing and are the seats easiest to access in the away end.

It is not necessary to get medical exemption for taking medication into the ground.

Walking aids can be taken into the ground.

Stadium information

Alcohol

Due to Norwegian law, they are not permitted to sell any alcoholic beverages at the stadium.

Bag Policy

Only small bags (crossbody bags) will be permitted into the stadium. Do not bring large rucksacks to the ground as they will not be permitted entry.

Flags and Banners

Flags are permitted into the stadium, however may be checked by stewards upon entrance. Flags representing political or religious affiliations, national symbols tied to active international conflicts, and discriminatory messaging are banned.

Payments

Kiosks will accept card payment only for food and drinks.

Charging Banks

Charging banks are permitted into the stadium.

Matchday programme

There will not be a matchday programme available to purchase.

Leaving the stadium

There is no planned hold back after the game, unless any issues arise during the game.

Travelling abroad with BHAFC

We are proud of our fantastic support and remind all supporters to act as ambassadors of the Club and be respectful and considerate to those who live and work in the cities and countries we are fortunate to visit. Please do not place flags or banners on local statues or monuments.

Supporters are reminded that discriminatory behaviour which includes shouting, chanting, or action such as racist, xenophobic, sectarian, homophobic, sexist or anti-disability behaviour is unacceptable.

If you witness incidents like these, please notify a steward immediately.

The club reserves the right to indefinitely ban supporters found guilty of using discriminatory language.

Information from the police in Tromsø

We wish to welcome you to Tromsø and hope you have a nice stay and a good sporting experience.

To ensure that everyone remains safe, the Police in Tromsø asks to please abide by these laws:

Drinking alcohol and urinating in public places is prohibited and may result in a fine.
Racism, disorderly conduct (including excessive usage of alcohol), violence and inappropriate or offensive behaviour is not tolerated.
Police can in certain situations limit the access to the city centre, the stadium or other areas.
Keep the streets clean and do not litter in public spaces.

Unauthorised use of tickets

Supporters are reminded that the unauthorised reselling or passing on of tickets is strictly prohibited and any fans found doing so will face sanctions.

Supporters who purchase tickets for away games and then find they are unable to travel MUST email supporter.services@brightonandhovealbion.com as early as possible.

Any supporters attempting to purchase tickets in the home end will not be permitted entry and will not be able to access the stadium. Any away supporters identified in the home end will be ejected.
