It has been a busy international break for our women, who have been competing in friendlies and Nations League games throughout Europe.
Republic of Ireland â Caitlin Hayes
Hayes faced Belgium over two legs in the Nations League play-off and played in both matches. The Republic of Ireland won 4-2 in the first leg and lost 2-1 a few days later. The tie ended 5-4 on aggregate, resulting in a return to League A for the Irish. This guarantees a play-off place for the 2027 World Cup no matter what happens in the qualifying stages.
Scotland - Rachel McLauchlan
McLauchlan featured in two friendlies this international break, playing from start to finish as Scotland beat Morocco 2-1 but then lost 4-3 to Switzerland in a seven-goal thriller at Dunfermline's East End Park.
Netherlands â Marisa Olislagers
Olislagers returned to the Netherlands side for two friendlies, coming on in the 46th minute in a 0-0 draw against Poland. During the Netherlandâs 1-0 win against Canada, the defender played the full match.
England â Michelle Agyemang
Agyemang played in two friendlies, featuring from the 83rd minute against Brazil in a 2-1 loss, and 62 minutes against Australia. Unfortunately, Michelle had to be stretchered off during the 3-0 win against the Matildas.
England U19s â Olivia Johnson, Silvana Miranda, Jess Pegram and Taylor Warren
All the Albion players were involved in the Young Lionesses' 4-0 win against Greece in the WU19 Euro qualifiers. Johnson and Warren both scored.
Japan â Moeka Minami and Kiko Seike
The pair played a part in Japanâs two friendlies. Seike played until the 61st minute in a 1-1 draw with Italy. Both featured in the 2-0 defeat to Norway, Kiko left the field at the break when Moeka came on.
Chiamaka Nnadozie helped Nigeria beat Benin Republic in their Africa Nations Cup play-off.
Nigeria - Chiamaka Nnadozie
Nnadozie played in a play-off game over two legs against Benin Republic, the first resulted in a 2-0 win for Nigeria. The second fixture finished 1-1 which means the Super Falcons have qualified for the 2026 African Cup of Nations.
Colombia - Jorelyn Carabali
Carabali was involved in group stage games for the CONMEBOL Nations League. The team that finishes first and second will qualify for the 2027 World Cup and Colombia beat Peru 4-1 and Ecuador 2-1 with the Albion defender playing every minute of both games.
Sweden â Rosa Kafaji
Striker Kafaji featured in the second leg of Swedenâs 1-0 defeat to Spain in the Nations League semi-finals. Rosa came on in the 55th minute against the world champions, who won the tie 5-1 on aggregate.
Serbia - Jelena Cankovic
Serbia beat Slovenia 4-2 in a friendly and midfielder Jelena playing the 90 minutes for Serbia who benefitted from two own goals.
