Brajan Gruda scored a goal and claimed an assist as he helped RB Leipzig to a 2-2 draw against Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.

The midfielder took advantage of a mistake by Wolfsburg keeper Kamil Grabara to set up Yan Diomande for a second-half equaliser and after the visitors had retaken the lead Gruda made it 2-2 with a minute to go when he collected a loose ball inside the box and curled a sublime left-footed shot into the far corner, giving Grabara no chance.

Elsewhere in Europe it was a mixed bag for Albion’s loan players.

Diego Coppola’s first start for Paris FC ended in a 5-0 defeat to Lens, who went back to the top of Ligue 1 with their handsome win.

In Holland, Do-Yong Yoon claimed an assist in Dordrecht’s wins over Jong AZ and Emmen in the Dutch second tier but Evan Ferguson wasn’t involved for AS Roma in either of their most recent Serie A games against Cagliari or Napoli because of an ankle injury.

It’s been a productive week for winger Ibrahim Osman. After scoring his first goal for Birmingham City, Osman played in last Tuesday’s goalless draw against West Brom before coming on at the break on Sunday when the Blues held Leeds United to a 1-1 draw in the FA Cup before losing to the Premier League side on penalties.

After Patrick Roberts had levelled in the 89th minute Osman was inches away from winning the tie when his close-range shot came back off the inside of the post. James Beadle was rested on Sunday, having kept a clean sheet against the Baggies. Facundo Buonanotte made his first Leeds’ start at St Andrew’s but was taken off at half-time.

Eiran Cashin helped Blackburn Rovers to an important win in their Championship relegation battle, playing the entirety of their 3-1 win over Queens Park Rangers while Tommy Watson came off the bench in the second half to create the equaliser and help Millwall climb to third with a 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday.

Malick Yalcouye played the last 14 minutes of Swansea’s 2-0 defeat at Derby County while Jeremy Sarmiento had eight minutes for Middlesbrough last week in the 2-1 win over Sheffield United which took them to the top of the Championship ahead of tonight’s (Monday) encounter with second-placed Coventry City – and Carl Rushworth.

A good week for Kamari Doyle and play-off chasing Reading in League One. Doyle claimed an assist in the Royals’ 2-1 over Wigan and then helped his side beat Wycombe 3-2 on Saturday as they climbed to seventh place. Mark O’Mahony wasn’t involved for Reading because of injury while Caylan Vickers got the last five minutes of their home defeat for Wigan but wasn’t in the squad on Sunday when they were beaten 4-0 by Arsenal in the FA Cup.

Jacob Slater helped Harrogate pick up a vital point in their battle to stay in the EFL on Saturday, playing for 75 minutes of their 1-1 draw against Chesterfield.

Jess Pegram was an unused sub for Rangers Women in their 8-0 victory over Partick Thistle in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup.
