Tony Bloom’s hunger for success hasn’t cooled despite the club achieving promotion to the Premier League and Europa League qualification during his time as chairman.
Glenn Murray put the questions to Tony on the latest episode of the Official Brighton & Hove Albion podcast, which you can listen to here. Bloom wants to carry on our upward trajectory. “For 15 years, 16 years I've been chairman. It’s been a great journey, but we cannot stand still, we are always wanting more. We are aiming to win trophies.
“It's really difficult. We’re in the Premier League and in two cup competitions which is extremely difficult, but we are pushing for that every single season.
“Our vision is to be a top ten club in the Premier League and a top four club in the Women's Super League. We are pushing on from being a top ten club to pushing for European football every season.
“That's the aim. We've got to be ambitious. We've got to carry on aiming high. We've got another great squad of players. I believe in them, I absolutely believe in Fabian [Hurzeler] and in the next five years we want to push on and do even better.”
Tony also looked back on last season, believing Albion could have done better in their Premier League performance.

“ I've had time to reflect – there were a lots of highs, some lows, but lots of learning experiences.
“When I look back at the season as a whole I think we had a really good season. We felt we could have done a little bit better. We could have got into Europe. Obviously we lost on penalties in the quarter-final of the FA Cup.
"There were small margins. But given it was Fabian's first season in the Premier League, quite a lot of new staff and a lot of new players I think we can look back and say ‘we did really well, but we perhaps could have done that bit better.’”
