New Heritage Wall coming this Autumn

We are pleased to update supporters on the plans for a brand-new Heritage Wall at the Amex.
The new wall replaces the existing Heritage Tiles located in the North external concourse, that have degraded to varying degrees over recent years.
The new wall will run opposite the entrance to the main West Stand in very close proximity to where many stones were originally laid in the ground when the Amex first opened.
This new location offers greater weather protection than most outer parts of the Amex and is less congested on matchdays ensuring fans have space for those personal matchday moments.

The wall’s design has been carefully developed in close consultation with the Fan Advisory Board. Each inscription will be engraved on a durable, polished premium material similar to Corian, within a space matching the size of the original tile. Each inscription has been thoroughly checked in an intensive manual process to ensure that each is faithfully replicated.
Once the wall is installed, an online lookup tool will help supporters easily find their tile location on the new wall using the inscription reference.
The new engraved tiles will be set within an Albion Blue freestanding steel framing system with seamlessly integrated lighting to illuminate the inscriptions at night.
The words of Sussex by the Sea will be illuminated and run the full length of the Heritage Wall along with specially commissioned club-branded artwork between each panel.

With a maximum height of six feet, each tile will be clearly visible and accessible to touch, an enhanced solution to the current wall.
The installation is scheduled for Autumn with enabling work and manufacture underway.
The existing Heritage Tiles in the north external concourse will remain in place until the new wall is installed to ensure continuity of the special messages and give supporters time to photograph their original stone should they wish.
