As prepare for Sunday's history-making FA Cup final against Manchester City, Carla Camacho is embracing the magnitude of the occasion.
For the young forward, stepping out at Wembley Stadium represents an opportunity to secure a historic first major trophy for the club.
"Everyone in the team is so excited," Camacho said. "We were so happy when we reached the final. It's a special day for everyone, and we know how historic it would be to win the first trophy for Brighton - men or women."
Adding to the emotion, Camacho will have special support in the stands. "My parents are coming. They couldn't make it to many games previously, so this is going to be their first proper game being there."

Camacho joined the club from Real Madrid last summer and her own journey to Wembley has required intense dedication to adapt to a new country, a new language, and the tactical demands of playing under head coach Dario Vidosic.
"When I came in, I was literally in shock because there were so many new things to learn, and the language barrier was tough," she admitted. "But I ask a lot of questions. It can be annoying for Dario [Vidosic] and Fran Kirby the most but I don't care! I just want to understand every little detail to become a better player."
That drive was highlighted during a bittersweet night at Chelsea in March when Albion lost 2-1. Despite scoring her first goal, Camacho was substituted at half-time. "In this league, you have to do everything well," she added. "I was happy with my goal, but when I got home, I knew I had to improve my pressing to stay on the pitch."
While Manchester City enter Sunday’s clash as favourites, Camacho is quietly confident in Albion's tactical evolution over the season.
"City have been so good this season, so they are the favourites," she noted. "But we’ve really found our style of play in the last few weeks and, of course, we beat them in the league a few weeks ago.
“Now that we fully understand what Dario expects, everyone is involved. If we play together, we can beat them."
Camacho’s tactical understanding has grown alongside her grasp of English, fuelled by daily experiences rather than formal lessons. To accelerate her learning, she studies English books every day and talks to herself to practice her pronunciation. And she loves watching movies with English sub-titles.
Whatever role she plays on Sunday the 21-year-old is ready to make an impact.
