Adam Webster has praised the impact fellow defender Tariq Lamptey has had since breaking into the Albion team.
The 19-year-old joined Albion from Chelsea in January and didn’t make his full debut until the goalless draw against Leicester City in the second game after the season resumed.
He was named man of the match that night and picked up the same award on Saturday for another eye-catching display in the 1-0 win over Norwich City.
“He’s done amazingly since he’s come in,” said Webster.
“I remember watching him on his debut for Chelsea [against Arsenal in December] and thinking ‘this guy’s a player’.

“He’s had to wait for his chance and kept his head down but now he’s taken it with both hands - we’re really lucky to have him.
"He’s got everything. He’s so fast and so strong and he doesn’t get beat in a one-v-one. Technically he’s very good but the best thing is he is a lovely kid, so humble. He has a bright future in front of him.”
Webster thinks Lamptey has shown great maturity for his age with his decision to leave Chelsea in search of more opportunities in the Premier League.
“It was a brave decision to leave Chelsea. He could have signed a new contract but maybe not signed many games,” added Webster.
“But he stepped out of his comfort zone and came to us where he’s got a chance to play and develop as a player.
"He has shown great maturity on the pitch as well. He’s still learning and will get better with every game.”
