Adam Webster probably didn’t think when he was playing National League football that he would one day get the opportunity to play in Europe.
A decade ago the defender joined Aldershot Town on loan from Portsmouth, but now he’s a fully-fledged Premier League player with Europa League football on the horizon, although he’s not getting ahead of himself.
“I don't think I probably enjoyed [qualifying for Europe] as much as people might think. When you're so involved in it, you're always on to the next thing. And that next thing is playing in Europe and I'm really excited to do that,” he said.
Adam Webster played in our last game against Wolves - a 6-0 victory at The Amex.
“It's a nice feeling when you see someone else that's come from Non-League and is now playing in the Premier League and you've done that as well.”
The focus this weekend is on the Premier League, as we head to Molineux to face Wolves.
Head coach Gary O’Neil’s first game in charge saw his team narrowly lose 1-0 to Manchester United on Monday.
“They were really good and caused United a lot of problems,” Adam said on Wolves’ performance. “They were unlucky to not get anything from the game and I think United would probably agree with that as well.

“Obviously, it will be their first home game with a new manager, new season. So it'll be really difficult and we'll need to start well and be ready for it.
“It was a difficult game there last season but we went on to win with Pascal's goal late on. It was a big win for us but it’s never an easy place to go. They’ve got a good fan base and good players.”
