Adam Webster believes Albion have a āgreat platformā to push on in the second half of the season.
Unbeaten in 2023, we go into Saturdayās Amex game against Fulham knowing that victory could put us within three points of the top four with games in hand on all the teams above us.
Webster, who returned to the starting line-up in Saturdayās 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace, said, āWe go into every game full of confidence no matter who weāre playing.
āCredit to the manager and staff for that and the way he has got us playing. Everyone is behind him and on the same page and weāve given ourselves a great platform for pushing on in the second half of the season.ā
Fulham are only below sixth-placed Albion on goal difference which makes the game even more important for both teams.
Marco Silvaās side beat Albion 2-1 at Craven Cottage in August and they have the seventh-best away record in the Premier League with four wins ā Albion are fourth best in the away table.
āThey are doing well, they are a much better team now and they obviously beat us at the start of the season,ā added Webster. āBut we have improved as well since then too, weāre in a good position and hopefully we can really achieve something in the second half of the season. To do that weāve got to keep getting the results at the Amex so itās a very important game for us.ā
Webster admitted Albion dropped two points at Selhurst Park on Saturday. āWe were all gutted not to take three points, it felt like only one team was trying to win," he said. "We created a lot of chances and on another day we would have won. But we have to move on.
āWe played very well and limited them to a couple of shots and they never really carved us open. On another day we could have scored three or four but the performance on Saturday and in the last few weeks showed how far we have come in such a short space of time.ā
