Dario Vidosic is looking forward to starting his Albion journey this season after he was named our new women’s first-team head coach.
The 37-year-old joined us on Wednesday on a contract that runs until June 2027.
Dario said, “It’s a whirlwind of emotions. I’m excited to be here.
“The challenge was a big factor for me to take this role. I think going to the best league in the world to play against the best clubs in the world was a big pull as well. I want to have success with Brighton.
“I was sitting on my couch and planning the squad together for next season. I then got a message saying Brighton would like to have a conversation with me.
“I think it felt like a fast process at the start, then it felt like it went a lot longer at times because of the visa application. I've been told many great things about Brighton and that it's a fantastic place - I’m excited to get started.”
Dario led Melbourne City to the A-League title last season in his first campaign as head coach. He expressed his excitement to compete in the WSL and reiterated his desire to face the challenges head-on.
“I'm not shying away from the challenge one bit – I'm looking forward to it. I can’t wait to play against those teams and face that challenge head-on.
“We want to play our way and with an attractive brand of football that people love to come and watch. We've got a talented group of girls and I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do.”
