Deniz Undav is hoping to fit into Albion’s style of play quickly following his first face-to-face conversation with head coach Graham Potter this week.
The forward trained with us for the first time on Monday having spent the second half of last season on loan with Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.
“I had a facetime call with him [Graham Potter] before I signed, but Monday was the first time I met him in person,” Undav said.
“He explained that the style suits me and that we will stick to our style even against the big teams. I just need to adapt in a few areas to help the team, he wants me to be even better. Now it’s time to put the work.
“At Union we tried to press all the time, whereas Brighton want to be on the ball – both styles suit me. I just want to have my spot and adapt to the Premier League.”
The Belgian Professional Footballer of the Year is delighted to finally be at his new club.
Graham Potter's men returned to training this week.
“It’s amazing to finally be here, I’ve waited almost six months to have my first day here! To meet all my teammates, the coaches and the head coach properly, I am happy.
“I was a little bit nervous, because everything is new to me and I am new to them. When I was on the way here on Monday morning I was feeling a bit nervous, but those nerves have gone.”
