Lorent Tolaj scored twice in Albion's Senior Cup triumph against Worthing.

Under-23s’ coach Andrew Crofts predicts a bright future for striker Lorent Tolaj after his two goals lit up Tuesday’s Sussex Senior Cup final triumph.

The Swiss youngster scored a couple of crackers with his left foot in Albion’s 4-2 win over Worthing, having cut short his loan spell with League One Cambridge United last month.

Tolaj, 20, only played 72 minutes in five substitute appearances for Cambridge, having hit six goals in 18 Premier League 2 games prior to his switch to the League One outfit.

Crofts said, “He probably felt a little bit hard done by but Lorent has got an exciting future.

“His loan to Cambridge didn’t go the way he wanted but he benefitted from working with senior players on a daily basis and saw how hard a senior football environment can be.

“He had a bit of a tough time but the next thing for Lorent is first-team football. He may have to go out on loan again to get closer to our first team but he scores goals, has got good movement and if he keeps that mindset he will do well. He wants to learn and improve and is passionate about getting better."
