Albion conclude their pre-season preparations at the Amex today when we take on Espanyol, kick off 3pm.
It is the last opportunity for Graham Potter and his players to fine-tune ahead of next Sunday’s Premier League opener at Old Trafford.
Espanyol, who are based in Barcelona, are sure to provide a decent test.
They finished 14th in La Liga last season, only four points above the relegation zone, having won promotion the previous campaign after suffering their first relegation since 1994 in 2019.
After three years at Granada, Diego Martinez took over as head coach in the summer and they made a decent start to pre-season, beating French sides Montpellier and Lille either side of a goalless draw with Las Palmas.
But they travel to Sussex having suffered a surprise 1-0 loss on Thursday to Spanish third-tier side Linense.
Twice former UEFA Cup finalists, Espanyol have made five additions to their squad this summer including former Newcastle United and Stoke striker Joselu and Dutch midfielder Tonny Vilhena, who played 17 games on loan for the club last season.
Earlier this week they recruited goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte from AS Monaco on a season-long loan.
Espanyol begin the new La Liga campaign away to Celta Vigo on August 13.
