Amazon offers customers the chance to select a charity of their choice to benefit from their shopping, with a per cent of each purchase being donated by Amazon to the chosen good cause.Ā
It doesn’t cost the shopper anything – all they have to do is visit the website through the Amazon Smile portal at:Ā www.smile.amazon.co.ukĀ rather than via the Amazon app or traditional url. They’ll be asked to pick a charity to support.Ā
Then, each time they buy from AmazonĀ via the Amazon Smile portal, Amazon will make a donation to help the charity.
Mark Barkaway heads up fundraising for Albion in the Community. He said, ā€œAs a charity we’re determined to keep helping the many vulnerable people we work withĀ during these difficult times.
ā€œWe know fans are proud of that work and of the impact the Albion in the Community has locally. By supporting the charity when you shop online it is helping us to continue to support many local people while they are isolated.
ā€œUnfortunately, we’ve had to postpone some fundraising events which does have an impact on the charity, so picking Albion in the Community as their charity of choice on Amazon Smile is a great way for fans to show their support.ā€
