Albion under-23s boss Simon Rusk has been impressed by the new players that have joined his squad.
The most recent batch of players signing their scholarships with the club have adjusted well so far to the demands of their new challenge.
Rusk said, âThe lads who have come up from the under-18s have brought a freshness to the group. Itâs nice and energising and Iâd say all the players that have made the step-up have acquitted themselves well so far.
âThe boys have come back in a pretty good shape. Because of whatâs been going on this year, we all knew it wouldnât be a normal pre-season so weâve got them working on a different programme to what we normally would.
âIt has been challenging, but itâs nothing they canât overcome and the whole group have been outstanding. Itâs been enjoyable for everyone just being back in the environment in and around the training ground so thereâs been a lot of positives.â
The Seagulls enjoyed a 2-0 pre-season victory over Fulham, with Jensen Weir and Stefan Vukoje getting the goals.
âIt was a good work out, the players got some important minutes under their belts,â Rusk added.
âIt was a good opportunity for a lot of the boys to get time on the pitch.â
The under-23s are back in action on Wednesday when they play Bournemouth in a friendly.
