Roberto De Zerbi is happy to have a couple of sleepless nights ahead of Thursdayās game against Manchester United at the Amex.
Albionās head coach made five changes for Saturdayās game against Wolves and saw some of those players who have not had a lot of game time in recent weeks, like two-goal Deniz Undav and midfielder Billy Gilmour, shine in our sensational 6-0 win.
He said, āI am looking forward to working on Tuesday with the players and to decide the first XI. It will be a problem, I think I will not sleep, but it is not a problem!ā
De Zerbi hailed the win over Wolves, which took Albion to a new points and wins record in the Premier League, as his best as a coach but he preferred to give his players the praise. Wolvesā coach Julen Lopetegui had said in the build-up that Albion were playing āthe best team playing football in the worldā at the moment.
āI respect him a lot as he is a great manager and I say thanks to him, but I donāt know. We are playing well but while [Pep] Guardiola works in football itās difficult to play better than his team.
āThe credit is not for me, the credit is for my players when we receive these words. I am lucky to be their coach, to work with them is an honour. I have good confidence in myself [and] I think I am a good coach but I canāt play this level of game without great players."
Unitedās visit is the first of seven games in May which will determine whether Albion will be playing European football for the first time in our history next season and De Zerbiās message is clear enough.
āFor sure we have to win [games] because by losing we canāt achieve. We have to play every game like it is the last game in our life. Because for us, for the club, for our fans it can be a historical result.ā
