Everyone at Brighton & Hove Albion is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Everton chairman, Bill Kenwright CBE at the age of 78.
Kenwright first joined the Everton board in 1989, and became chairman at Goodison Park in 2004, while away from football, the Liverpudlian was one of the UKâs most successful theatre producers.
Chief executive and deputy chairman, Paul Barber said, âBill loved Everton with all his heart, and as well as being a fabulous Premier League colleague, he was always generous and complimentary about how our club was progressing. He will be sorely missed.
"Our condolences are with Billâs partner, Jenny, his family and friends, and everyone at Everton, at this very sad time.â
Technical director, David Weir, who made 235 appearances for Everton between 1999-2007, added, âBill was a fantastic chairman who loved his football club.
âHe was always so passionate about Everton and will be greatly missed. Condolences to his family and friends.â
