Preview: Orient first up for Albion’s youngsters
Under-23s kick off their 2020/21 EFL Trophy campaign tonight.

Simon Rusk’s under-23 side get their EFL Trophy campaign underway this evening when they travel to face Leyton Orient at The Breyer Group Stadium, kick-off 7pm.
The Seagulls have been placed in Southern Group G with the O’s, Charlton Athletic and AFC Wimbledon and will play all three matches away from home.
Rusk’s men encountered Orient in the competition last season, drawing 1-1 in East London before the hosts won 4-2 on penalties.
Albion still topped their group thanks to 2-0 wins over AFC Wimbledon and Southend United, before exiting in the knockout stages against Newport County on penalties at the Amex in the second round.

Albion have played three warm-up games, beating Whitehawk and Fulham before losing 3-2 to AFC Bournemouth last week, when Stefan Vukoje and Jack Spong were on target. 
Leyton Orient got their 2020/21 season underway with a 2-1 win against Forest Green Rovers in the Carabao Cup on Saturday thanks to second-half goals from Danny Johnson and Connor Wilkinson.
