Head coach Hope Powell felt Albion were unfortunate as they went out of the Vitality FA Cup with a 3-2 home defeat against Reading.
Emma Koivisto and Kayleigh Green made it 2-2 with second-half goals and after Tia Primmer had put Reading back in front Emma Kullberg's shot came back off the underside of the bar and Julia Zigiotti's header was clerared off the line with Albion claiming both efforts had crossed the line.
Powell said, "I thought we were really spirited to come back from 2-0 and have a go in the way we did.
Julia Zigiotti's second-half header is cleared off the line
"It looked a couple of times we had made it 3-3. The players felt Emma and Julia's efforts were over the line but that happens, it's disappointing but we can't do anything about it. We kept going until the end which was excellent."
"We made seven changes from Thursday night against Arsenal at the end of a tough week but there have been lots of positives. I thought some of the youngsters who came in did well and the energy levels were good.
"You can't take anything away from a good Reading side. They have got pace and strength up front and it took us time to get used to that. We dealt with it well in the second half and then we started to play. We had a go and were a bit unfortunate in the end."
