Hope Powell says Albion are desperate to try and build on their eye-catching win over Manchester United when they begin their FA Cup campaign on Sunday.
A 1-0 win – Albion's fifth in their last six WSL games – ensured another season in the league last time out a fortnight ago.
Since then, seven players have been away on international duty and only returned to club duties this week ahead of the fourth-round tie against Bristol City at the People's Pension Stadium (2pm). But Powell says they are raring to go.
“When you're on a good run you just look forward to your next game and I definitely get that feeling ahead of this one,” said Powell.
“We're on a good run. The defeat to Everton was a blip but we bounced back with a great result against Manchester United when we showed a lot of character, and the good thing about the group is that even though we’re safe in the league now they are absolutely determined to keep that run going until the end of the season.
“It's a great attitude. They can’t wait for Sunday, although we know it will be a tough game.”
Albion lost 3-0 at Bristol City in January in the WSL before turning their season around.
“That win was probably a turning point for both teams,” said Powell. “They have got themselves off the bottom of the table and have got some very dangerous players.
“It's the FA Cup and we want to do well in the competition. We were disappointed to go out on penalties in the quarter-finals last season and there is a big incentive there with a home game in the fifth round if we can get through.”
