Graham Potter hailed a âfantastic performance and amazing resultâ after Albion thrashed Manchester United 4-0 at the Amex to record their best Premier League win.
Goals from Moises Caicedo, Marc Cucurella, Pascal Gross and Leandro Trossard thrilled a record Amex crowd as Albion moved to 47 points in ninth place.
âIt was one the great days,â said Potter. âWeâve had a bit of pain in front of our own supporters this season so we owed them one â it was a fantastic performance and an amazing result.
âIn an ideal world you want to get most of your points in front of your own supporters because it makes things feel better, so it was nice to give them a memory like that - weâre delighted.
âWe played well from the start and the boys did everything we asked them to do. We pressed well, defended well and created some good chances. We were brave on the ball.â
Caicedo and Cucurellaâs goal were their first for the club and showcased Albionâs excellent recruitment.
âMoises has got the ability to do that, it was a great finish and heâs been amazing since he came into the team while Marc has played at a very high level all season.
Goalscorer Moises Caicedo tussles with Juan Mata.
âGood recruitment is a collective thing. Itâs important we bring in the right characters with the correct attitude and itâs a huge credit to everyone at the club. It starts from the top with the chairman.
âIâm so pleased for the players. If youâve got a good group like we have thereâs always the chance to turn results around and thatâs what weâve done in the last few weeks.â
