Graham Potter believes Neal Maupay is improving all the time after getting the new campaign off to a flying start.
The striker scored against both Burnley and Watford as Albion won their first two games of the season.
âHeâs been important since heâs been here, you can tell by the amount of games heâs played for us and the amount of time he has spent on the pitch,â the head coach said. âHeâs a player who is developing all the time. Like all of us, heâs not perfect but has a lot of good attributes that the team appreciates.
âI am pleased he scored two goals in his last two games, but there is also a lot of work that goes on outside of that which is important for the team. We are pleased with his start and hope that he continues.â
The Frenchman was substituted at half-time against Watford with a shoulder injury, but his boss is hopeful he will be available to face Everton.
âHe trained on Thursday so we need to see how he reacts but weâre hopeful that he will be involved. We will know closer to the game.â
Maupayâs form reflects that of the team itself, according to Potter.
âCredit to the players, theyâve adapted a to a few different situations, theyâve been really together, really focussed and open minded.
âTheyâve got their rewards in terms of the points, so weâre pleased. Now we have to go again at the weekend, but at least we do that with three wins under our belts.â
