Graham Potter has spoken about the need to remain calm and level-headed when dealing with the intense attention that comes with being a Premier League manager.
Ahead of today’s game against Wolves at Molineux, the head coach says that by remaining true to himself and his beliefs he can cope with the demands of management at the highest level.
He said, “It isn’t easy to remain calm all the time, but we’re human beings.
"I would love to win game after game but the challenge of elite sport means there are going to be struggles, whether you’re a team trying to get back into the Champions League or a team fighting to stay in the league.
“It’s how you deal with it and put things into perspective. Can you do the things that you can control well? Can you act with integrity? Am I doing my best and taking responsibility? That’s the way you try to keep sane. You have to be yourself.”

The Brighton & Hove Albion boss speaks to the media ahead of his team's trip to Molineux.
Part of his role is dealing with the media. He believes it is his responsibility to be ‘authentic' and 'honest' in interviews and press conferences
“You have to be honest because you are projecting a voice on behalf of the football club.
"The media want to speak to me because I’m head coach of Brighton & Hove Albion, not because I am Graham Potter, I understand that’s my responsibility and I also think it's good to be honest and in a voice that I think is authentic.
"The media interest in the Premier League drives the product and I accept the media have the right to ask difficult questions, it's part of the job. It is important for me to speak to the media with respect and answer questions as well as I can."
