Albion boss Graham Potter.
Graham Potter says that there’s no blueprint for how to deal with life during the current Coronavirus crisis.
Play in the Premier League for Albion has been paused since mid-March, and players have since been training from home.
The boss praised the attitude and application of his players over the last two months and spoke glowingly of how they’ve handled themselves during this turbulent time.
“This is a new experience for everyone, and nobody really knows how to deal with it,” Potter said.
“The morale of the group has been good throughout and they speak regularly on Zoom - those have been well attended and the professionalism has been fantastic.
“I then speak to them individually. They’ve really impressed me with their work and how they’ve adapted to this new situation. Everyone has been happy with how the lads have taken to the challenge.

“There’s no course or licence to prepare for a public health crisis. You have to go off your feeling from experiences and try to apply it.
“It’s important to look after their mentality. So far there have been no concerns from that perspective. Everyone’s concerns are with the wider situation in the world. The guys have the same feelings as everyone else.
“We have to make sure we’re there for each other to speak to and that it’s not wrong to want or need that. Hopefully with that we can all come through this stronger and get back to a form of normality as soon as possible. We need to look forward to that day.”
Potter also spoke about his pride in how open the Seagulls have been in their communication over the last nine weeks.
“It was important for the club to maintain contact with the media to get our views and feelings across in a consistent way,” he continued.
“You need to be as honest as you can, and people appreciate that. We don’t always have to agree but that’s life, but if you can put your point across then people will respect that.”
